For All Band Students:Marching Band:What started the week with a forecast of 60% chance of rain gave way to Blue Skies and Sun for the Parade and clear and cold for the Field Show with no rain in sight. The 2011 Cascade Sound Marching Band came home with 1st Place in the Parade and a 2nd place finish in the Field Show. It was the best two performances of the year! After a great Parade performance we rehearsed at Auburn Riverside where the parents under the direction of Kristin Goodman provided the students with a full Thanksgiving Dinner complete with Turkey, Mashed Potato's, Stuffing, Gravy, Cranberry Sauce, Dinner Rolls, Green Beans, Sparkling Cider, Apple Pie, and Pumpkin Pie with Whipped topping! WAY TO GO! A memory for the ages at the look on the students face when they saw what dinner was to be! The 2011 Edition of the Cascade Sound Marching Band is over and with it everyone involved watched a tremendous step forward this year. Congratulations to this years Seniors - YOU have left a notch in the program everyone is proud of! To all the parents who gave so much of their time for their student and all students ALL I CAN SAY IS THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART! The staff, students, and parents will remember the life long memories and lessons learned from this year, and more importantly the meaning of family and friends - without this we would be just like everyone else in the world.
